27/7-site visit
What a tired as well as meaningful day it was.Meeting winnie,sally and other volunteers at central mtr station,I felt confused in finding the exitB of central mtr station.There are A to J exits in total.I was the first one geting there and I saw a familiar face but I dared not tohi her because I didn't know her name.-___- People involved:Winnie Chan ,Haidi,Rain,Chris,Nikki,曉,Sally and me
Route:石板街→中區警處→域多利監獄→行人電梯→清真寺→甘棠第
In the first location,we saw a young man dressed in something similar to king's clothes,with a crown as well.I wondered the reasons he was there.Maybe they were right-he was having a function of chatting with the passengbys.
On the footbridge,we saw the achitecture stysle of the Cental Police.It mixed with both western and chinese stysle.But it no long performed the function as a police station.About域多利監獄,we could just see the back of it,mainly the outside walls.
Then by the escalator,we came to the first清真寺in HK.It was not like the one in Tsim Sha Tsui.The life there was simple.We saw a man sweeping the leaves on the staires and few children playing nearby.And with the permission,we could enter the mosque and look around.There were some clocks putting on the walls outside to remind the believers when to attend the ceremony.Interestingly,a notice from Macdonld's also put up to tell the people that the it was safe to eat in Macdonald's because the oil they used was vegetable oil only. And coming to the last location,we all longed for it because we could enjoy the cool air from the air-conditioners while we looking around.Winnie told us that it used to be a house of a weathly and it used to perform the religious function.But now it is 孫中山先生紀念館.We could see quite a lot of things about Dr Sun,such as his pictures with his family,his schoollife in hk,he revolutionary ideas.
The rehearsal brings the start of the real one on monday.It will be the second outing with the primary children.Hope it will be ok. |
